How are you?

We have a lot to tell you. First of all, we owe you an apology: the manual was supposed to be sent out about twenty days ago, but the English translation took more work than expected: we wanted to do a precise and polished job to give you the best gaming experience.

And finally, we can say it's done: the translation is ready!

But what are the next steps now?

• On Monday 27 March we will send the PDF in English and a new version in Italian with the correction of some small errors.
• By mid-April we will get the money from Backer Kit and from then we will go to press!
• Based on the printing schedule, physical copies of the manual will be sent out in early May.

We are very close to the conclusion of this project and we really have to thank you for your patience and support. Soon you will be able to hold ARN in your hands!

Come state?

Abbiamo molte cose da dirvi. Prima di tutto, vi dobbiamo delle scuse: il manuale doveva essere mandato una ventina di giorni fa, ma la traduzione in inglese ha richiesto più lavoro del previsto: ci tenevamo a fare un lavoro preciso e curato per darvi la migliore esperienza di gioco.

E finalmente, possiamo dire che ci siamo: la traduzione è pronta!

Ma adesso quali sono i prossimi passi?

• Lunedì 27 marzo manderemo i PDF in inglese e una nuova versione in italiano con la correzione di alcuni piccoli errori.
• Per metà aprile prendiamo i soldi da Backer Kit e da quel momento si va in stampa!
• Sulla base dei tempi di stampa, le copie fisiche del manuale saranno spedite a inizio maggio.

Manca veramente pochissimo alla conclusione di questo progetto e vi dobbiamo ringraziare veramente tanto per la pazienza e per il sostengo che ci avete dato. Presto potrete stringere ARN nelle vostre mani!

Ciao ragazzi! 

Ebbene, ci siamo: dopo gli ultimi certosini ritocchi (e anche tanta ansia da prestazione) oggi rilasciamo la versione PDF del manuale in italiano!

Tutti i sostenitori della versione italiana la riceveranno in giornata attraverso una mail di Backerkit. Mentre, per quanto riguarda la versione inglese, stiamo lavorando affinché venga rilasciata per fine di questo mese.

Se notate errori di battitura o errori/problemi, fatecelo sapere: sistemeremo il tutto in men che non si dica e rimanderemo la nuova versione del file.

Terminato il rilascio dei pdf,  manderemo in stampa la versione cartacea: Siamo  davvero molto emozionati di essere giunti fin qui.

Restate in attesa e pronti a giocare.

Hi guys! 

Well, this is it: after the last few painstaking touches (and also a lot of performance anxiety) today we are releasing the PDF version of the manual in Italian!

All supporters of the Italian version will receive it later today through an email from Backerkit. While, as for the English version, we are working to have it released by the end of this month.

If you notice typos or errors/problems, please let us know: we will fix it in no time and send back the new version of the file.

Once the pdf release is finished, we will send out the print version: We are really very excited to have come this far.

Stand by and ready to play.

Ciao ragazzi, come state? 

Oggi purtroppo ci tocca parlare di tecnicismi  (ma pur sempre importantissimi) riguardanti il nostro progetto.

Nei giorni scorsi si è sentito molto parlare degli aggiornamenti sulla Open Gaming Licence di WotC e per non contribuire al polverone creatosi, abbiamo preferito non esporci sull'argomento e attendere l’evolversi degli eventi. Abbiamo quindi aspettato prima di pubblicare questo aggiornamento di esser sicuri di non incappare in problemi per un manuale che usasse quella OGL e su cui abbiamo speso tanta fatica e impegno.

Ora che le cose sembrano essersi (moderatamente) stabilizzate, vi comunichiamo che la versione PDF del manuale italiano è pronta! Verrà rilasciata per tutti i backer entro la prima settimana di febbraio, giusto il tempo degli ultimi (maniacali) ritocchi. Contiamo invece di far uscire la versione inglese del manuale al termine dello stesso mese.

Una volta rilasciati i PDF, procederemo a stampare e inviare i pledge fisici.

Per ingannare l'attesa, vi lasciamo con una fantastica illustrazione del nostro Mirko, che ha reso alla perfezione le atmosfere di un luogo piuttosto particolare, che vi lasceremo scoprire leggendo il manuale completo di Argentum Res Novae.

Hi guys, how are you doing? 

Today we unfortunately have to talk about technicalities (but still very important) regarding our project.

In the past few days there has been a lot of talk about updates on WotC's Open Gaming Licence and in order not to contribute to the fuss created, we preferred not to expose ourselves on the subject and wait as events unfolded. So we waited before publishing this update to be sure that we would not run into problems for a manual that used that OGL and on which we spent so much effort and commitment.

Now that things seem to have (moderately) stabilized, we inform you that the PDF version of the Italian manual is ready! It will be released for all backers by the first week of February, just enough time for the last (manic) touches. Instead, we expect to release the English version of the manual at the end of February.

Once the PDFs are released, we will proceed to print and send out the physical pledges.

In the meantime, we leave you with a fantastic illustration by Mirko, who has perfectly rendered the atmosphere of a rather peculiar place, which we will let you discover by reading the full Argentum Res Novae manual.

New ARN Update! Beta Capitolo 1 - Beta Chapter 1

Qui si lavora sodo per completare il manuale di ARN! Nel frattempo abbiamo inviato a tutti i backer la versione beta del primo capitolo del manuale, con tanto di illustrazioni (potetete trovare il link nei messaggi di KS) . Un ringraziamento speciale va quindi ai nostri artisti, che ci hanno permesso di dar vita al mondo da noi immaginato <3

Ma eccoci alla domanda fatidica: a che punto siamo con il completamento del manuale? Beh, fa strano dirlo, ma il corebook di ARN in italiano è finito. O almeno: è un intero manuale sfogliabile digitalmente dalla copertina all'ultima pagina. La prossima fase che ci attende è un certosino lavoro di rifinitura, correzione e limatura per ottenere il miglior prodotto possibile e che possa ripagarvi della fiducia che ci avete dato.

Stiamo procedendo anche alla traduzione in inglese del manuale, arrivata circa al 50% del suo completamento.

Ormai vediamo la linea del traguardo e non vediamo l'ora di condividerla assieme a voi.

Hi!

We are hard at work here to complete the ARN manual! In the meantime, we have sent all backers the beta version of the first chapter of the manual, complete with illustrations (you can find the link in Kickstarter messages). So a special thanks goes out to our artists, who allowed us to bring to life the world we envisioned <3

But here we come to the fateful question: where are we with the completion of the manual? Well, it's strange to say, but the ARN corebook in Italian is finished. Or at least: it is an entire handbook that can be browsed digitally from cover to last page. The next phase ahead of us is painstaking refinement, correction and filing work to achieve the best possible product that can repay you for the trust you have given us.

We are also proceeding with the English translation of the manual, which is about 50 percent complete.

We now see the finish line and look forward to sharing it with you.

Ciao a tutti!

Le ultime settimane si sono rincorse veloci, tra ritardi, problemi tecnici e una serie di circostanze davvero troppo lunghe per poterle elencare. Ma siamo sopravvissuti! E siamo estremamente orgogliosi di annunciare la road map di Argentum Res Novae con questo aggiornamento.

La versione PDF del manuale di ARN dovrebbe essere pronta entro fine novembre, così che possiate cominciare a vivere le vostre avventure all'interno del Bipelago in attesa del manuale fisico.

Per quanto riguarda quest'ultimo, contiamo di andare in stampa all'inizio di dicembre e iniziare a spedire le copie da gennaio.

Stiamo lavorando davvero sodo per potervi garantire un prodotto memorabile e che possa appassionarvi tanto quanto ci ha appassionato la sua creazione.

Per ingannare l'attesa però vorremmo rilasciare, a intervalli di tempo regolare, i capitoli del manuale in versione beta per tutti i backer dal livello Chimney Sweep in poi:

Quarta settimana di ottobre: beta capitolo 4

Seconda settimana di novembre: beta capitolo 2

Terza settimana di novembre: beta capitolo 1

E il capitolo 3? Quello è già disponibile per tutti! Controllate tra i vostri messaggi di Kickstarter ;)

Hello everyone!

The last few weeks have chased each other fast, including delays, technical problems, and a series of circumstances that are really too long to list. But we have survived! And we are extremely proud to announce the Argentum Res Novae road map with this update.

The PDF version of the ARN manual should be ready by the end of November, so that you can start living your adventures inside the Bipelago while waiting for the physical manual.

As for the latter, we expect to go to press in early December and start shipping copies from January.

We are working really hard to be able to guarantee you a memorable product that you will be as passionate about as we were about its creation.

To bridge the wait, however, we would like to release beta chapters of the manual at regular intervals for all backers from the Chimney Sweep level onward:

Fourth week of October: beta chapter 4

Second week of November: beta chapter 2

Third week of November: beta chapter 1

What about chapter 3? That one is already available to everyone! Check it out among your Kickstarter posts ;)
